CLIENT OVERVIEW:
A local blacksmith based in Eastney, Portsmouth, commissioned a publication that would document the rich history of blacksmithing while also featuring her personal journey and experiences as a female blacksmith.
DESIGN BRIEF:
To design and produce a book that authentically represents the craft of blacksmithing. Letterpress was used for titles and key quotations to reflect the traditional nature of the trade. The final book was printed on textured stock in A3 landscape format and bound using a custom metal plate and screw fixings, echoing the materials and methods of the profession
